Sketch Proposal for the 2005 Armory Show |
HoMu at the Armory ShowIn March 2005, the Swiss Institute Contemporary Art (SI) invited Filip Noterdaeme to introduce HoMu at the Armory Show. Noterdaeme created a HoMu stand fashioned after Lucy's psychotherapist stand from Charles Schulz's cartoon series The Peanuts. Seated at the stand and posing as the Director of the Homeless Museum, Noterdaeme made himself available to answer questions and offer advice to aspiring collectors, directors and curators alike. He also fashioned an unauthorized, limited edition HoMu Dust Jacket for the Armory Show catalogue and gave away signed copies to those who visited him at the stand. Read Noterdaeme's account of the entire experience, published by Art Fairs International, here. |
