The Morgue and Library at HoMu BKLYN |
Morgue & Library / Living RoomThe Morgue & Library is a place for study, silent contemplation and reflection. The Morgue commemorates the deaths of two unidentified homeless men. Two corpse-like figures, made of almond paste and embedded in solid glycerin soap, are displayed on a small light box. The Library holds a vast number of art books and catalogs from the Director's private collection. Visitors are encouraged to browse the Library and read at leisure in the nearby Wurlitzer Atrium. |
