We, the Homeless (2004)
Signature Series I & II

For this series of six paintings, Filip Noterdaeme asked homeless men and women in New York City to sign their names onto plain white canvases of different sizes.

Series I holds numerous signatures on each of the three canvases, signed in a free-style pattern.

Series II consists of three small canvases, each holding one signature that has covered up with multiple layers of white paint.
